Elizabeth Quarles, Chief Executive Officer
Elizabeth serves Consolidated Construction Services as chief executive officer. She manages the company website and all of the social media marketing platforms. Elizabeth is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington where she earned a Bachelor of Science in biology. After college she accepted a position in Atlanta with Crawford Long Hospital in the physical therapy department. She also worked for Georgia Telco where she gained valuable customer service experience. Elizabeth later joined a major petroleum company and was responsible for all in house marketing. Corporate relocations required the family move to many cities throughout the East Coast and Southeastern United States. While living in Tennessee, Elizabeth chose to focus on her three children and their school activities. Two of the children and a son-in-law live in Florida, and all three are graduates of Auburn University. The youngest son attends VMI, which influenced the family’s decision to return home to Virginia. Outside of work Elizabeth enjoys gardening, listening to music and traveling to new destinations.
Rob Quarles, President
Rob serves Consolidated Construction Services as owner and president. He earned a civil engineering degree from Virginia Military Institute. Prior to purchasing Consolidated Construction Services, Rob worked for three global corporations managing water treatment teams and clients. Other areas of experience include sales, strategic marketing and business management. Rob is active in the VMI alumni association, has helped build homes for Habitat for Humanity and mentored Junior Achievement students in finance and marketing. He was also on the fundraising and building committee for the Church of the Holy Apostles in Collierville, Tennessee. Rob is certified in Advanced Structural Drying and as a Water Restoration Technician by The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC). He has also completed continuing education courses in senior management from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and Columbia University.
Al Smith, Director of Marketing and Development
Al serves Consolidated Construction Services as Director of Marketing and Development. He holds degrees in civil engineering from Tennessee State University, organizational management and development from Bluefield College and an MBA from Villanova University. Al has 30 years of experience in marketing, development, sales, estimating and project management for both commercial and residential properties. He is certified by the National Association of Home Builders in Sales and Marketing for Remodelers and Insurance Reconstruction. He is also certified in Advanced Structural Drying and as a Water Restoration Technician and Applied Microbial Remediation Technician by The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC). Previously he held the position of Vice President of National Sales and Marketing for Metwood Inc. He also held the position of Vice President of Construction Operations for A&E International and Vice President of Belfor in Nashville, TN. He served as Chairman of the Commercial Building Council and is on the Board of Directors with the Roanoke Regional Home Builders where he received the 1999 Rookie of the Year Award. Al also serves on the Economic Development Committee with the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors and the Virginia Apartment Management Association. Al is a Vietnam Veteran and served with Seal Team 1 (UDT 21).
Marcia Navidi, Marketing Specialist
Marcia serves Consolidated Construction Services as a Marketing Specialist and Business Development Assistant. She has over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing with many different industries including the travel industry, radio, banking, restaurant, non-profit and construction. She is very social and enjoys the Roanoke Regional Chamber meetings and local events. She also enjoys meeting with insurance agents, City of Roanoke management team, local colleges and universities and commercial and residential property staff. Marcia earned an associate degree from Southeastern Academy and attended New River Community College along with Dabney S. Lancaster Community College. She is originally from Alleghany, County and when she is not making delicious meals, she enjoys music, singing and being a master of ceremonies for special events.
Tam Tran, Director of Finance
Tam Tran serves Consolidated Construction Services, as the Director of Finance. He joined the company in June of 2006. Tam holds an accounting degree from ODU and brings 13 years of accounting, tax and payroll experience. Prior to joining CCS, Tam was a manager with Jackson Hewitt Tax Services. His QuickBooks expertise has been a proven asset. He has set up QuickBooks accounting system for several small businesses. His knowledge is consistently up to date in the areas of taxation, benefits, payroll compliance and much more. Tam’s hobbies include cycling on the Roanoke Greenways, mountain biking at Carvins Cove, working on computers and listening to music.
Jeff Jones, Senior Estimator
Jeff serves Consolidated Construction Services as an estimator and salesman. He brings 30 years of business experience and construction knowledge. Jeff grew up in Vinton and has always lived in the Roanoke area. Prior to joining Consolidated Jeff owned and managed an electrical contracting company. He is a Master Electrician, Master HVAC Technician, Master Gas Fitter, Certified in Data Communications, a Certified EPA Technician, and is certified by IICRC in Water Damage Restoration. Jeff always takes a customer focused approach to each job. He enjoys racing cars and producing high tech firework displays for his family and friends.
Shannon Christy, Operations Manager
Shannon serves Consolidated Construction Services as operations manager. Shannon has spent 17 years learning every aspect of the construction industry in the positions of project manager and superintendent. He holds certifications from ASHI and OSHA. He is well versed in the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (USBC) and has a full understanding of architectural drawings. He has great interpersonal and business communication skills as well as an in depth understanding of time management, project management, resource management, strategic thinking and problem solving.
John Hrysenko, Senior Estimator
John serves Consolidated Construction Services as a senior estimator. John has 20 years of experience in the insurance restoration industry while working in Florida, Maryland and Virginia. He has also held the position of operations manager and project manager. John is certified by IICRC in Applied Microbial Remediation and Water Damage Restoration. He is also certified in Lead Safety for Renovation, Repair and Painting by the EI Group, Inc., and has a certification for Restorative Drying 101 Course with DRIEAZ Education. Several other mold certifications that John has qualified in include Mold Remediation in Buildings certified by ET&T Indoor Environmental Surveys, 24 Hour Mold Supervisor Initial Course certified by Froehling & Robertson, Inc. and Mold Inspector Initial Course certified by Marine Chemist Services, Inc. John spent 10 years in the waterproofing and foundation industry before entering the insurance restoration field. When John is not working he enjoys cooking, playing the drums in the band AXIS Five and cheering for the Baltimore Ravens.
Jason McClelland, Estimator/Project Manager
Jason serves Consolidated Construction Services as an estimator and project manager. Jason’s experience in construction began as a teenager when he was hired by the general contractor who was building his family’s home. From foundation to shingles Jason has been involved with every aspect of the construction industry. After graduating from high school Jason decided to defend his country and joined the United States Army. He was stationed at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska and enjoyed getting to know the Western part of the United States. Following his military career and service Jason ventured into many aspects of the construction industry from 100 year old home renovations that required historical society guidelines to custom home building and new construction projects valued at 500,000 to 1,000,000. Jason has great leadership, planning, and organizational skills, as well as a keen eye for detail. All of these qualities make him a great estimator and project manager. This dual role allows Jason to be involved in a project from start to finish. In his spare time Jason enjoys spending time with his family and friends and playing guitar in his band AXIS Five.
Lance Petersen, Mold/Mitigation Manager
Lance serves Consolidated Construction Services as a mold and mitigation manager. Lance has over 30 years of experience in the insurance restoration and remediation industry. He is certified by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) in Water, Mold, Fire, Smoke, Odor, Carpet Cleaning and Trauma & Crime Scene Technician (TCST) certified by IICRC. Prior to joining Consolidated Construction Services Lance owned his own restoration and carpet cleaning company in Colorado. He is happy to be back in Virginia and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Issac Peters, Project Manager
Issac serves Consolidated Construction Services as a project manager. He has 22 years of experience as a carpenter and 6 years of custom home building expertise. Issac maintains a complete understanding of state building codes, blueprints and structural drawings. His strong work ethic and communication skills have positioned him as a leader in the construction industry. Issac is originally from Nevada and he and his family enjoy the activities and events in Roanoke and the surrounding areas. In his spare time Issac coaches several softball teams that his daughters are proud to play for.
Lee Wheeler, Project Manager
Lee serves Consolidated Construction Services as a project manager. Lee has 15 years of experience as a project manager specializing in remodeling, siding, windows, decks and additions. Lee managed a team of 48 employees and sold 6 different product lines while with Kent’s Insulation a family business where he worked for 18 years. He opened his own company K&L Siding & Windows in 2008 were he focused on building additions and remodeling bathrooms. Outside of work Lee enjoys riding his Harley, hunting, fishing and spending time on the boat with his son. Lee’s son is a member of the Bass Fishing Team at Virginia Tech.
Ryan Black, Project Manager
Ryan serves Consolidated Construction Services as a project manager. Ryan is actually returning to Consolidated after managing his own business Helping Hands Renovations. His company specialized in new construction and remodeling projects specifically for seniors aging in place. Ryan worked as a project manager for Consolidated Construction Services from 2009 to 2014. During this time he specialized in rebuilding homes and businesses damaged by fire. He also managed mitigation work and is IICRC certified. Ryan’s other expertise is building and repairing trusses. He managed the repair department and service department while working for Timber Truss. He is also an expert in emergency response for structure damage during severe storms and disasters. Ryan is originally from Salem, Virginia and graduated from Salem High School. Ryan enjoys spending time with his daughter and makes time every week to have coffee with her before her classes. He also enjoys being outside on the weekends and riding his motorcycle.
